Integration through meetings: Focus Estate Fund and Polish Red Cross regional branch in Płock establish Ukrainian clubs for seniors and youth

With the aim of supporting individuals from Ukraine, Focus Estate Fund continues its collaboration with the Polish Red Cross (PCK) to aid two integration projects at Galeria Mosty.

Focus Estate Fund, as the owner of Galeria Mosty, is pleased to announce its involvement in integration projects organized by the Polish Red Cross (PCK) at Galeria Mosty. Through their collaboration with PCK, Focus Estate Fund supports initiatives that aim to create meeting spaces for refugees from Ukraine and the local community.

The Ukrainian Senior Club” and “The Ukrainian Youth Club” are two projects implemented by PCK that have received support from Focus Estate Fund. These initiatives seek to provide meeting places, integration, and development opportunities for older individuals and youth from Ukraine. As a leading real estate investor, Focus Estate Fund recognizes the importance of corporate social responsibility. Through their collaboration with PCK, the fund aims to make a positive contribution to local communities and contribute to the integration of Ukrainian refugees.

“Operating in the real estate sector, we always strive to engage in projects that have a positive impact on the community. We are proud of our collaboration with the Polish Red Cross and the support provided to the projects “The Ukrainian Senior Club” and “The Ukrainian Youth Club” at Galeria Mosty. Our goal is to support integration and create spaces where different age groups can meet, share experiences, and develop their interests,” said Maxim Shkolnik, Main Partner of Focus Estate Fund.

“We sincerely thank Galeria Mosty for their kindness. Thanks to the provided free space, we have the opportunity to carry out two projects: “The Ukrainian Senior Club” and “The Ukrainian Youth Club.” This is a tremendous contribution to the work of our Association, for which I thank them once again,” commented Agnieszka Warczakowska, Director of the Regional Branch of PCK in Płock.

Since May, the “Ukrainian Senior Club” has been in operation — a unique space dedicated to older Ukrainian citizens. It is a place where individuals over 60 years old have the opportunity to spend time in pleasant company and participate in various social activities.
The Senior Club provides regular meetings three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, during which seniors can establish new connections and strengthen social ties. Adequate spaces have been created for each group of 15 people to enjoy integration and shared experiences. In addition to social support, the Senior Club also provides warm meals and snacks, ensuring comfort and satisfaction for the participants. This makes the “Ukrainian Senior Club” not only a place for social activities, but also an oasis of well-being for older Ukrainian citizens.

In response to the needs of the young Ukrainian community, the “Ukrainian Youth Club” is being established. Its aim is to create a space where young Ukrainians can meet, develop their interests, and participate in various activities. The club will be open twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays, providing a group of 10-15 individuals aged 10 to 18 with opportunities for fun, learning, and local excursions.

The first integration event within the club will take place on July 1st and will continue throughout the summer until August 31, 2023. During this period, when peer interactions are often limited, the “Ukrainian Youth Club” will create a place where children and young people who are Ukrainian citizens can meet and establish friendships.

The club will organize various activities, including interest development, physical activities, games, and local excursions. Additionally, there will be a psychologist available for consultation every Tuesday for five hours, providing advice and support to club participants if needed. During their time at the club, each participant will be provided with snacks and warm or cold drinks to create a comfortable and friendly environment for everyone.

Through these initiatives, Focus Estate Fund and the Polish Red Cross aim to promote integration and create spaces where different age groups can meet, share experiences, and develop their interests, fostering positive connections between various social groups.
